About Faberge
Fabergé Inc., first registered in 1937 by Samuel Rubin (founder of the Spanish Trading Company 1930), was a cosmetics line using the Faberge name unbeknownst to the famed Faberge family until the 1950s. They settled a court case in 1951 (for $25K) and allowed the family name to be used in their cosmetic and fragrance line. Rubin sold the company in 1963 to Rayette cosmetics for $25MIL. In 1984 the company was sold to McGregor, and 1989 to Unilever. However in 2007 Faberge was sold by Unilever to Faberge Limited. (Source: www.wikipedia.org - Dec 2012)
