Rebel Rebel - Even the King himself couldn't have imagined he's be the beauty muse for a fashion moment 34 years after his passing. But sure enough, backstage at Proenza Schouler's spring show, Fekkai hairstylist Paul Hanlon divulged that his inspiration was Elvis, "and vintage Kate Moss," he added, two icons know for their major rock-and-roll cred. While Hanlon updated the normally masculine style by creating more feminine pompadours for a business-up-front, party-in-the-back kind of feel, the 1950s rockability look surfaced at plenty of other collections as well. At Marc Jacobs, Rochas, and Prada, grease was the word -- it was all about slicked hair and vintage-inspired makeup. The trick to pulling it off? Follow Hanlon's lead and shy away from more literal interpretations -- think rumble-ready, not helmet head. A touch of cat eyeliners should seal the deal, and hey, this season's Louis Vuitton croc motorcycle jacket wouldn't hurt, either.
