Jovan fragrances: by Coty since 1996. Jovan was founded in 1968 by Barry Shipp and Bernard Mitchell based on a musk oil Shipp discovered in Greenwich Village "head shop" while on a business trip working for Revlon at the time. Shipp took the oil to a perfume house and developed Jovan Musk from the found oil.
