Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme Libre

Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme Libre - eau de toilette for men
L'Homme Libre by Yves Saint Laurent - "An addictive fragrance celebrating the power of freedom. Top notes feature fresh green notes of basil and violet leaf that are enhanced by sharp, spicy notes of nutmeg and pink pepper. This freshness is contrasted by the sensuality of deep woody vetiver and patchouli notes enriched with warm tones of leather." --yslbeautyus.com

Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme Libre Fragrance
Uncommon Scents
Feminine, fresh, spicy, zzzzzz. Some women are finding new, cool fragrances -- and unexpected ways to wear them.
Masculine-Feminine Scents -
Men's scents can also experiment with sex in ways that would get a women's fragrance slut-shamed. They often include intense, sensual notes, like tobacco, smoke, or spice. "There are a lot of women who want something with a little more mystery, like the leathery, smoky, dark notes you find in men's fragrances," says Kari Bradl, co-owner of fragrance boutique Aedes de Venustas in New York City. Dani Stahl, who designs Lia Sophia jewelry, has been choosing men's fragrance since she was a teenager: "My best friend at tennis camp used to wear Eternity for Men, and I loved it." Now she likes the fruity-fresh Bleu de Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent's herbaceous L'Homme Libre. "I think men's fragrance is very sexy on women," she says. "It kind of gives the impression that I might just have been with a gentleman."

Scent of a Man - The house of Yves Saint Laurent has bottled the power of man in its third addition to the L'Homme fragrance series. L'Homme Libre is a tribute to the quote from the late Y.S.L.: "I address myself to free men." It's a modern scent made of lightness and surprise, of Calabrian bergamot and fresh hesperide illuminated by basil, star anise, and pink pepper. This being Yves Saint Laurent, there is also a mysterious side, as evidenced by a thrumming architecture of patchouli, resin, and leather. The advertising campaign, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, stars Benjamin Millepied, the French dancer in the New York City Ballet, choreographer of Black Swan, and, perhaps more topically, father of Natalie Portman's child. His smoldering grace and powerful agility make him the perfect act to follow YSL spokes-hommes Olivier Martinez and Vincent Cassel. (And he looks great in that slim Stefano Pilati designed suit.) Vive la lierté! (yslbeautyus.com)
