Flower of the Month - Rose Fragrances
Flower of the Month - Rose Fragrances
June is Rose month...
I've always followed the philosophy that one must "stop and smell the roses." That being said, I will be the first to admit that the scent of rose is not one of my favorites. Rose, as in the traditional red, lush, velvety petal variety. I do however, love the fragrance of yellow roses, and you will never finding me turning my nose up at a bouquet of white roses. In fact, if you take a look at my wedding photos you can spot a few white roses tucked into my bouquet.
The front walkway of my Grandmother's home was lined with huge rose bushes, in mostly the red and pink varieties. I'm sure they had fancy names, but I never commited any to memory. They were beautiful and fragrant, but perhaps one too many scrapes by their thorns put me off from enjoying in their lingering scent.

In honor of the month of June, we pay homage to the Rose.
